1. Information We Collect
1.1 The Bharat Haq Engine — NO server data
When you use the Bharat Haq Engine eligibility tool, you provide: state, gender, age, caste category, occupation, and income range. This information is processed entirely within your browser (client-side JavaScript). It is never transmitted to or stored on TheBharatAI's servers. When you close or refresh the page, this data is gone.
1.2 Analytics (Anonymised)
We use Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization enabled. This collects: approximate geographic region (country/state level), device type (mobile/desktop), browser type, pages visited, and session duration. Individual users cannot be identified from this data.
1.3 Advertising
Google AdSense may use cookies to serve relevant advertisements. These are governed by Google's Privacy Policy. We display ads to fund free operation of this platform.
1.4 Report Submissions
If you use the "Report Wrong Info" button, you may submit: scheme name, issue type, and optional details. This is currently logged locally (console.info) only and is not stored in any database accessible to third parties.

3. Cookies
TheBharatAI uses cookies for:
- Disclaimer dismissal: sessionStorage key
bai_disc— stores that you dismissed the disclaimer this session. Cleared when you close the tab. - Google Analytics: _ga, _gid cookies — anonymised analytics. These expire in 24 months and 24 hours respectively.
- Google AdSense: Various ad-serving cookies governed by Google's policies.
You can control cookies via your browser settings. Blocking analytics/ad cookies will not affect the eligibility tool functionality.
4. Third-Party Services

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, TheBharatAI commits to:
- Purpose Limitation: Data processed only for the stated purposes above
- Data Minimisation: We collect only what is operationally necessary
- Storage Limitation: Engine inputs are not stored at all on our servers
- Security: HTTPS enforced; HSTS headers; CSP configured
- Transparency: This policy clearly states all data practices
- No Children's Data: We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13
6. Data Security
TheBharatAI implements the following security measures:
- HTTPS enforced via SSL/TLS certificate
- HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) headers
- Content Security Policy (CSP) headers to prevent XSS
- X-Frame-Options and X-Content-Type-Options headers
- No client-side storage of sensitive data (no localStorage with personal info)
7. Children's Privacy
TheBharatAI does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 years of age. The eligibility tool may be used to find schemes for children (e.g., Sukanya Samriddhi for girl children) — in such cases, the parent or guardian should be using the tool, not the child. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal data, we will delete it immediately.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of TheBharatAI after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
